Tandem Paragliding on Lake Garda - FAQ
What is paragliding?
The paraglider, made of a special fabric, is the most simple and exciting way to realize the dream of flying that everyone has had at least once in their life!
How does it work?
The pilot scrupulously prepares and checks the equipment himself and the passenger before strapping the harnesses and briefing the passenger about what to do at take off. After a short run you will be airborne and comfortably enjoying the sound of the wind in your ears!
Is it similar to the parachute?
No! The paraglider is a flying machine, like a plane, or a hang glider, while the parachute, once opened, is used to break the jumper’s free-fall.
Is it extreme?
Paragliding, if approached in the right way, is not dangerous or extreme! Our expert pilots use only safe and efficient equipment so that you can fully enjoy your flight.
Is it possible to suffer from dizziness or nausea during the flight?
Vertigo or the feeling of losing one’s balance from a great high disappears once you are comfortably seated and moving in the air. In very rare cases it is possible to suffer from motion sickness so we advise you not to exceed with food and drink (especially alcoholic beverages) before your flight.
Are there any age limits?
No, but you need to be in good health; you can fly at all ages even if it is not a particularly physically demanding sport. For minors, parental consent is required.
What do you need?
Special clothes aren’t required: the important thing is that they must be suitable for the season and shoes must be closed (hiking boots or sneakers), NO SANDALS allowed. If you are not sure what to wear, ask us for suggestions when you book.
Can you make videos or take photos during the flight?
Certainly! With a camera or a phone, but first make sure it is secured so you don’t lose it. Our pilots, however, have got a full hd action camera and, upon request, can deliver the video of the entire flight on an sd card.
Can the passenger pilot the paraglider?
When conditions allow it, we will be happy allow you to experience the thrill of piloting the paraglider yourself!
How are the pilot and the passenger situated during the flight?
They both sit comfortably in their harnesses, with the pilot in front and the passenger behind, near enough to communicate easily.
How long does it take?
A flight can last from 20 to 40 minutes, depending on the location where you take off, the season and the weather conditions.
Is it possible to do acrobatics?
Yes, on request, but it also depends on the weather conditions and how the passenger physically responds to the flight.
